Are you a strong communicator who’s passionate about local impact? The Communications Director plays a key support role in shaping and refining how the Democratic Club of Greater Tracy shares its message across the community.

This leadership position focuses on message strategy, content coordination, and helping ensure alignment across the club’s communications channels. You’ll work closely with the club’s leadership, marketing support, and digital team to help us Rise, Reconnect, and Rebuild—together.

Duties and Responsibilities:

The Communications Director works with the President, leadership team, and the club’s creative partners to support high-impact messaging and member engagement. Responsibilities include:

  • Message Strategy Support:
    Collaborate with leadership to develop core messaging and communication priorities aligned with the club’s mission.

  • Community Alignment:
    Help identify policy or media topics that support local advocacy and recommend ways to highlight them through our communications.

  • Content Review & Coordination:
    Support the creation and QA of newsletters, emails, and announcements—ensuring consistency and clarity across all platforms.

  • Team Collaboration:
    Work closely with the club’s social media/web manager, provide feedback when needed, and ensure deliverables reflect the club’s tone and values.

  • Public Engagement Support:
    Assist in outreach efforts, draft press releases or public statements when needed, and help maintain positive relationships with local media and partners.
