Come and join the Dem club in making a difference in our city’s politics!
On this Memorial Day we celebrate our hard fought freedom by engaging in a peaceful protest, a freedom hard fought for by our military, a freedom other countries do not have, to be able to safely use the Freedom of Speech in Peaceful Protesting without retribution. Our democracy we protect.

About the event
We thank all the men and women for their service in fighting for our democracy. Now it is our turn. If you haven’t been following the city council’s activities, it is important that you know three of our council members are implementing a power grab.
They were working hard to fire the City Manager due to unsubstantiated grievousness but didn’t have the votes to do so. While the City Manager was on medical leave, they tried to push through a change to the ordinance recommended by the SJC Civil Grand Jury that stated any attempt to remove an official must do so with a 4 to 1 vote. During a special city council meeting, despite overwhelming opposition from the audience and callers, they voted to overturn the existing ordinance to make a 3 to 2 vote to expel a city official.
The Democratic Club of Greater Tracy is asking all club members to come out to a rally at the corner of Corral Hollow and 11th street at 4:30pm today to hold signs to make the commuters aware of what we are dealing with.
Let’s meet at the Dem’s office at 2:30 pm today to create signs. If you are able, bring at least two large blank poster boards and a large flat black marker. We have several suggested slogans to choose from for your sign(s).
Thank you in advance for your much needed support,
Below are slogans that promote transparency, accountability, and positive change in the city council. Here are a few examples:
"Transparency First, Corruption Last!"
- "Accountability: Restoring Trust in Our Council"
- "Honesty, Integrity, Progress: Our City Deserves Better"
- "Unite Against Corruption, Together We Thrive"
- "Demanding Change, Eradicating Corruption"
- "A New Era of Ethics for Our City Council"
- "Empowering Citizens, Eliminating Corruption"
- "Responsible Governance for a Corruption-Free City"
- "Integrity in Action: Rebuilding Trust in Our Council"
- "Putting People Before Corruption: Our Council, Our Future"
Remember, it's important to address concerns through lawful and democratic means, such as supporting candidates who prioritize integrity and ethics in their campaign platforms, participating in local governance, and engaging in constructive dialogue to promote positive change.
