Event Recap - Democratic Club at Tracy Pride

1 / 6

On Saturday, October 11th, the Democratic Club of Greater Tracy joined with the entire community to celebrate the 5th Annual Tracy Pride event at Lincoln Park. The Club had a prime spot for our booth, right next to the Free Mom Hugs booth (where Democratic Club President Cindi Reis was pulling double duty helping out!), which worked out well since current Dem’s Club Communications Director Sean Thompson wore his “Free Dad Hugs” shirt that day!

Offering a variety of food and drink vendors, clothing, face painting, jewelry, and even a stand where participants could get their flu shot, the event had something for everyone and was brimming with peace and love. The Democratic Club’s booth was festooned with the signs and literature for our endorsed candidates (Rhodesia Ransom, Dan Arriola – who was on-hand at his own booth just a few spots away! – Robin Cole, Ametrius Sidney, Larkin Fleckner, and write-in candidate Amy Thompson) and the team manning the booth – our own Cindi, Robin, Amy, Sean, and Ayofemi Oseye - answered questions about the candidates, provided information about how and where to register to vote, how to check on registration status, and the best places to drop off ballots, and Sean gave out many hugs! Individuals, couples, and families enjoyed strolling through the space at Lincoln Park, dancing, laughing, and taking in the sights and sounds of Pride, including the amazing and talented drag performers giving it their all on stage, at times jumping off stage to give their adoring audience a chance to see their routines close up! Even Rep. Josh Harder stopped by to say hello and take in the festivities, taking a moment to chat with us and express thanks and encouragement to our candidates!

The day was a great success and great fun, and the Democratic Club looks forward to continuing its support for the entire Tracy community! Thank you to all who came out and helped out!
